Transport for NSW has chosen SAP as the underlying software in its massive enterprise resource planning (ERP) system consolidation program, and awarded a three-year, $13 million contract for the migration of existing data into the consolidated system.
The agency has been hesitant to reveal details of the mammoth consolidation project, which was given $150 million in funding between 2012 and 2016 in the state government’s 2012 budget.
It late last week awarded the first contract in the multi-year project.
Global data migration solution provider BackOffice Associates will be given $12.8 million over three years to migrate the mass amounts of data located in the transport cluster’s numerous ERP systems into the new solution . . .
